What is MUN?

Model United Nations(MUN) is a United Nations (UN) simulation in which participants stand for countries and defend their policies in different UN committees while experiencing a diplomatic atmosphere.

What is the official language of GSMUN’20?

The official languages of our conference are both English and French.

Do I have to speak both of the languages or just one of them is enough to participate?

You can apply if you are able to speak either English or French.

Who can participate GSMUN’20?

Any university or high school student who speaks English or French can participate.

Where is the conference taking place?

GSMUN’20 will be held in Ortaköy, Çırağan Caddesi No:36 at Galatasaray University.


Will there be accommodation?

We will be offering you different hotels where you can stay during conferences, you’ll be free to choose which one to stay as you wish.


What are the public transportation opportunities?

You can take 40T, 42T, DT1 buses from Taksim or DT2 from Ortaköy.

When is the deadline to complete the payment procedure?

You are expected to make your payments within 5 business days from the moment you get an acceptance.


When can we get our allocations?

As soon as you complete payment procedure, we will send you the country which you’ll be representing and your committees.



What does conference fee covers?

The conference fee covers all conference materials (welcome pack), 3 days lunch and coffee breaks.



Do I need previous experience to participate?

No, you don’t need any previous experiences since we are sending allocations regardless of level of English or anything else.



Can we get a refund if we decide not to participate?

There are no reimbursements in any GSMUN conferences.



Are there any scholarships provided for the GSMUN'20 conference?

Unfortunately there is no scholarship provided by our team.



Is there a dress code for GSMUN’20?

Yes, all participants of GSMUN’20 are kindly asked to follow western business style as dress code.


Is it obligatory to attend all the sessions? What if I miss one or two?

In case of missing 1 session, delegate cannot get an award; when a delegate misses 2 or more session he/she cannot get neither award nor conference certificate.



Do I have to write a position paper before the conference?

The position paper writing is facultative yet it might change according to your committee directors’ decision.
